Andrew’s Week 15 NFL Picks

Jaguars @ Falcons

Atlanta is watching the NFC South slip away from them and fall into the Saints hands so they will have to rely on the wild card which if they win out they will take. Matt Ryan is coming off of one of his best performances of the year in a comeback win over Carolina and will ride that momentum against a tough Jaguares defense and throw for 2 tds. The Falcons defense will cause Gabbert to throw several interceptions and struggle. The Falcons will move one game closer to a playoff spot winning this thursday night matchup easily. Atlanta 31 Jacksonville 10

Cowboys @ Buccaneers

Another blown 4th quarter lead for the Cowboys last week and if it wasn’t bad enough it was to division rivals the G-men. Now playing on a shorter week have to travel to Tampa to face the Buccaneers. Last week I thought having Josh Freeman back would revitalize the team and beat a weaker Jacksonville team. Well I was dead wrong. This team has a lot more problems than just quarter back health. The Cowboys will have to rebound mentally after last week but the talent will give them enough of a push and lead them to a win in a rare saturday game. Dallas 27 Tampa Bay 20

Dolphins @ Bills

That’s it im just about done with Buffalo. After the 6th straight embarrassing performance from Buffalo, the fast 5-2 start seems like that season was years ago. Struggling on all sides of the ball and in every aspect of the game is making every game unwatchable for any Bills fan. The only thing the Bills have going for them this week is they are playing Miami on a downslide as well. Miami just canned head coach Tony Sparano and is on third string quarter back and the cause of hundreds of nightmares of Buffalo fans J.P. Losman. Ugh just typing his name is making me sick. The Bills defense is bad but Losman is worse and will hopefully control Reggie Bush and get the long awaited W. Buffalo 24 Miami 10

Seahawks @ Bears

After fumbling away a heartbreaking loss to the Denver Tebows, Chicago has to play host to a surprisingly hot Seattle team just beating St. Louis. Seattle is red hot winning 4 of their last 5 games and making a run at a wild card birth. Chicago’s loss set them back a great deal with Detroit and Atlanta winning last week and now holding a one game lead over the Bears for the two wild card spots. This game is a toss up for me and i just have a little more faith in Chicago and their defense to play angry and hold off Seattle. Chicago 17 Seattle 14

Panthers @ Texans

Finally achieving their long awaited goal of reaching the postseason with a third string quarter back at the helm, Houston is riding high now setting their sights on a possible first round bye and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Who would have thought? T.J Yates has the Texans offense not losing a step after losing both Schaub and Leinart. The Houston defense will have their hands full with Cam Newton but Houston will continue their magical season with another win. Houston 28 Carolina 19

Titans @ Colts

This may be the Colts best chance of getting their first win facing the Titans coming off a tough loss to the Saints and injuring both Matt Hasselbeck and Jake Locker. The status of both of these quarter backs is in doubt for this game so that will be something to look out for as the week progresses. The Colts have looked so lost this year that a good amount of college teams could beat them at times. Even with all of the injurys for the Titans they still have Chris Johnson playing like he has in the past and he will carry the Titans to a win and more importantly keep them in the playoff race. Tennessee 21 Indianapolis 14

Packers @ Chiefs

Kansas City just fired their head coach the week that they play the defending champions and the only undefeated team in the NFL. That should tell you the confidence they have about the game this week. It looks like Kyle Orton will get the start and play the Packers for the second time this year. Green Bay wins big and moves to 14-0 easy. Green Bay 40 Kansas City 13

Saints @ Vikings

Another Blowout here. New Orleans can clinch the NFC South with a win and a Atlanta loss so they will play hard and fast. Ponder has played better than expected this year for a poor Vikings team but will struggle here against the stingy Saints defense created by defensive coordinator Greg Williams. Saints move towards a first round bye with a win here. New Orleans 31 Minnesota  10

Redskins @ Giants

Fresh off a huge season saving comeback win over Dallas, the Giants host the Redskins who gave a valiant effort in a close loss to the Patriots. Eli Manning is having a career year and will slice up the Redskins defense as well. Rex Grossman will throw several picks to the Giants and the Giants d will rack up 8 sacks in a big win. NY Giants 26 Washington 7

Bengals @ Rams

The Rams were embarrassed on monday night football by the Seahawks and the same should be expected this week against the Bengals. Cincinnati desperately needs a win to keep up with the rest of the AFC teams fighting to get into the playoffs and with realistically one wild card spot left they need to win now. They will get that win.  Cincinnati 19 St. Louis 6

Lions @ Raiders

Both of these teams are sort of surprising playoff contenders trying to get into the postseason. Detroit will get Suh back from his two game suspension on thanksgiving and that should sure up the Lions defense against Carson Palmer and the Raiders offense. Megatron will lead the offense and win a big game on the road where both teams will have a playoff mentality of must win.  Detroit 20 Oakland 10

Browns @ Cardinals

Arizona has been playing a bit of inspired football recently beating the NFC West champion 49er’s last week and have found themselves back in the playoff discussion as unlikely as it would seem. To keep themselves in the discussion they have to continue winning as they should against the Browns. Cleveland could be without Colt McCoy after his concussion last week so their already struggling offense will suffer even more. Arizona 27 Cleveland 13

Jets @ Eagles

Philadelphia has had a painful season full of under achievement for the “Dream Team”. At this point they thought they would be wrapping up the division not looking forward to the 2012 draft. The Jets on the other hand are in the same spot they have been in for the past 2 years fighting to just get into the playoffs via the wild card. Getting Mike Vick back last week caused the team to play better and beat Miami in Miami. There is something about this game that favors the Eagles after a win at home against a team like the Jets who can at times be inconsistant. The Eagles will end the Jets 3 game win streak and pull off the upset. Philadelphia 24 NY Jets 21

Patriots @ Broncos

No matter how ugly the Broncos play they find a way to win in the fourth quarter and thats all that matters. Lead by Tim Tebow they have sole possession of the AFC West which after the first 2 months of the season was unthinkable but they have played some inspired football behing their new quarterback. But they now have to face one of the best quarterbacks of all time in Tom Brady and the Patriots. I expect Brady to connect with Welker for a pair of tds for a early lead but in typical Tebow fashion will play bad in the first 3 quarters but start a comeback in the fourth. The deficit will be too big as the Patriots will go into Denver and stop the Broncos winning streak. New England 34 Denver 28

Ravens @ Chargers

Baltimore can clinch a playoff birth with a win against the Chargers on sunday night. The Chargers need to win or be eliminated from making the playoffs for the second consecutive season and more than likely end Norv Turner’s tenure in San Diego so both teams will be playing for a lot. Ray Lewis will return and will make a big difference for the Ravens D against the Chargers and will clinch their playoff spot. Baltimore 26 San Diego 16

Steelers @ 49ers

Pittsburgh will most likely be in the postseason by the time this game starts but can gain ground on the Ravens if they fall to the Chargers. Losing Harrison for this game will hurt their always strong defense but they will control the Niners offense just fine. This is one of the games the Niners will have to win if they want to consider themselves as one of the NFL’s elite teams but will fall here. It will be close but the more experienced Steelers team will go into San Francisco and take the win. Pittsburgh 26 San Francisco 20
